ProdActive’s Managing Director delivered a lecture at Nottingham University Ningbo!

On April 21st, ProdActive’s Founder, Petros Koronidis delivered a guest lecture on Business Information Modeling (BIM). The invitation came from Asst. Prof. Dr Georgios Kapogiannis, the Course Director MSc in Geospatial Engineering & BIM at The University of Nottingham Ningbo China. Petros Koronidis was invited to share his expertise and real-life experiences with the students. He commenced by explaining how ‘BIM’ is related to the elevators. He analysed examples for elevator parts and subsystems in different Level of Development (LOD). He highlighted the importance of BIM which shares designing information for both elevators and HVAC and aims to achieve the building’s appropriate design and operation. And of course how ‘BIM’ enables companies to address the needs of clients in a more efficient and inexpensive way. From his track in 3D modelling, he pointed the crucial role decision makers play when using BIM for a company. At the lecture’s end, Petros Koronidis congratulated Asst. Prof. Dr Georgios Kapogiannis on the level of the students, expressed in the lecture. It reflects the great job of Asst. Prof. Dr Georgios Kapogiannis who, with his academic qualifications and precious experience, prepares students for their great step from the education to a successful career.
