CIIE 2020

China hosted the 3rd CIIE 2020 global trade event in this special COVID year, confident in the containment protocols that have been put in place. Even if not many foreigners managed to attend, ProdActive Consulting, as a Suzhou based company, was there to represent some of its customers and be updated on the market trends. This year, the exhibition area was expanded to add a zone on public health and epidemic prevention. There were 6 business exhibition areas: Food and Agricultural Products, Automobile, Intelligent Industry & Information Technology, Consumer Goods, Medical Equipment & Healthcare Products and Trade in Services. Nearly 1,500 enterprises from many countries exhibited their products, including around 30 Fortune Global 500. With both online and offline exhibitions arranged and thoughtful preparations made in every way, the event was finally safe and successful. Indicative successful cases of exhibitors were XCMG, a leading Chinese construction machinery manufacturer that reached purchasing orders totaling USD 80.8 million and Yuntianhua Co., Ltd., one of China’s top 500 enterprises specializing in the production and development of chemical fertilizers, modern agriculture and glass fiber materials that closed on contracts worth USD 1.26 billion.
